Six Things to Do Outside around Dupont Circle

  1. Coffee in Dupont Circle: this two-acre park has two rings of benches, so you can spread out with a friend and enjoy a cuppa.

  2. Chess: there are nine tables in Dupont Circle ready for you to play checkers, chess, or eat lunch. Bring a timer because competition is fierce.

  3. Five pocket parks with seating are dotted around greater Dupont Circle, including Shevchenko Park and Sonny Bono Park. Go explore!

  4. P Street beach is a great place to work on your tan or enjoy a picnic. Nestled along Rock Creek, this grassy beach is located on the west side of Dupont Circle, beside the P Street bridge.

  6. Walk to the White House. Just down Connecticut Avenue through Farragut Square, you will find Lafayette Park – next to BLM Plaza.
