Pride Pop-up: June 12
While DC’s annual Pride Parade has been postponed, Dupont Circle Main Streets will be hosting another pop-up shopping event to showcase all the pride we have for Dupont Circle on Saturday, June 12th from 12:00-6:00 p.m. More than 50 vendors will be outside on the sidewalks along P Street and Connecticut Avenue to draw people to their unique wares and our amazing retailers and restaurants around greater Dupont Circle.
Thousands of shoppers came from throughout the region in December, February, and April to take advantage of this unique pop-up shopping opportunity. While in the Dupont Circle area, shoppers visited the many pop-up vendors, local retailers, art galleries, and dinned in one of our many restaurants with outdoor café seating.
The pop-up shopping event will have more than 50 vendors from around the region on the sidewalks along P Street and Connecticut Avenue NW for pedestrians to discover paintings, jewelry, pottery, candles, soaps, and other crafts. Pop-ups will be in front of retail stores so you can walk around and then take a break in Dupont Circle park or at a streatery to recharge. Social distancing protocols will be in place so you can meet the artists and visit your favorite retailers safely.
Volunteers will be at the Dupont Circle Metro – North exit on Q Street – passing out maps and giving directions to pop-up shops, retailers and other destinations.
The pop-up events are organized by Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets and sponsored by the Department of Local and Small Business Development. The event is free and open to the public. Rain or shine. To learn more, visit www.dupontcirclepopup.com.
